Since the release of its landmark
Consensus Project Report in 2002, the Justice Center has provided on- and off-site technical assistance to states and localities working to ensure better public health and public safety outcomes for people with mental illnesses in contact with the criminal justice system. The Justice Center provides this technical assistance with the support of local, state, and federal agencies and private foundations, maximizing the impact of their investments in this issue.
The
Bureau of Justice Assistance has selected the Justice Center to serve as technical assistance provider for the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program (JMHCP) grantees and certain jurisdictions that applied for, but did not receive, funding. To learn more about the

The
